After being nominated for two awards at the recent Federation of Awarding Bodies Conference, we are thrilled to announce that as the Highly Commended finalist we have progressed to the national finals in October!

We have a new function to notify all of our customers of new documentation via OAL Online with guidance on how you can access this below. We would also like to remind you that the final remaining standard specific to Covid-19 Flexibilities will no longer be available from the end of June. The permanent flexibilities, will of course remain in place.  

Coming soon we have a new Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Maintenance Engineering and Head of EPA Phil Clough has some more invaluable webinars coming up in June and July that you can book onto now!

We have a new function for Customers to see specific documents uploaded on their homepage on OAL Online. Once a specific document is uploaded, the customer will be able to see the document on the righthand side when they log in as per screen shot above. From here the User can access, accept and download the document. Once accepted the external Customer will notified and they will also be able to access the document in the main library and on the homepage. Coming Soon.. The new version of the Food and Drink Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship is going live from the 4th July 2023. In order to support our providers with this updated standard OAL will be launching the new OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Maintenance Engineering. We aim to have this qualification live for registrations on the 1st July and we will be hosting a number of webinars in July, August and September to introduce the qualification. If you would like to know more about this or any of our qualifications please get in touch.

Changes to EPA Covid-19 flexibilities will soon take effect for Food and Drink Process and Advanced Process Operator, Customer Service Practitioner, Customer Services Specialist, FDEM and Furniture Manufacturer on the 30th of June. There are now new gateway declaration forms and face to face EPA can now be booked direct on the system as with remote assessments.

Just like all of our customers, we want to ensure that apprentices have a smooth journey through EPA, to know what to expect and when to expect it. To help, we have created the Apprentice Welcome Video. The welcome video can be found via the link below, please share this video with all of your apprentices, perhaps as part of their gateway meeting, as it will help them understand how OAL will interact with them and when. This is one of the many videos aimed to assist our customers, for a full list of the videos available to download, please our contact customer service.

Head of End-point Assessment Phil Clough, will be running a regular online session starting on the 28th June from 10am-12pm with hints and tips about End-point Assessment processes and how to support Apprentices through their EPA journey. In addition to this Phil is running a session on Achieving Successful End-point Assessment on the 19th July at 10am.

We’re very pleased to announce that we Highly Commended for Multi Standards EPAO of the Year (SME) at this year Federation of Awarding Bodies Conference, Awards and Exhibition. As a result we have been shortlisted for the award at the national finals in October.
